Beware cyclists. Cyclists beware.

In the last month twenty cyclists died in road accidents in Italy. Three of them made the news. Michele Scarponi, a professional cyclist, was killed on impact by a van while he was training. Nicky Hayden, a professional motorcycle racer, died after five days in a coma following a collision with a car. Julia Viellehner, a triathlete, died eight days after being hit by a truck. These tragic events inspired me to create the bicycle road safety awareness concept at the top of this page.
